Experience
John A. Wise has assisted clients in real estate and business transactions since 1981. He has:
- Handled the sale and purchase of many types of real estate, including apartments, shopping centers, office buildings, farms, houses, and industrial warehouses;
- Advised clients in connection with leases, new subdivisions and homeowners associations, title and survey issues, construction projects, and foreclosures;
- Established new corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies for a variety of businesses, and assisted clients in connection with the sale and purchase of businesses; and
- Supported litigation in connection with real estate and businesses.
Education and Achievements
Mr. Wise came to Dallas in 1978 to attend Southern Methodist University Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1981. In addition, he graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1978 with a B.A. in History and Philosophy after attending the University of St. Andrews, Scotland for one year. In 1987, he achieved Certification from the State Bar of Texas in Commercial Real Estate. Fellow attorneys have named John Wise as a Texas Super Lawyer in the area of Real Estate, as featured in Texas Monthly Magazine.
Community Involvement
Mr. Wise is actively serves in the community and is a member of the:
- American Bar Association,
- Texas Bar Association (Member, Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section), and
- Dallas Bar Association (Member, Real Estate Section).
